Joseph N. Little, age 93, formerly of Vernon Rd., W. Salem Twp., Greenville, passed away Sunday morning, January 28, 2024 in St. Paul’s Senior Living Community. He was born in Greenville on September 5, 1930 to Joseph C. and Ethel M. (Burns) Little.

Joe attended Hickory High School and retired from the car shop of the Bessemer & Lake Erie R.R. in 1983 after thirty-five years of employment. He was a member of Crossroads Christian Fellowship, Greenville. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and had been active for many years with the Mercer County Coon Hunters Assoc., where he served as Past President and Secretary.

On September 1, 1962 he married the former Virginia I. Reeher, she survives. Also surviving are three daughters; Florence Sopko and her husband Gene of Texas, Bonnie Parsell and her husband Pete of Arizona and Norma Crothers and her husband David of Pennsylvania, nine grand children and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Jo Anna See and her husband Raymond, a brother, Clair Little, three sisters, Martha Urey, Betty Scoggins and Shirley Little and a great-grandson, Tyler Smith.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10am on Friday, February 2, 2024 in Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville, with Rev. Julia Fraser, Spiritual Director of St. Paul’s Senior Living Community, officiating. Entombment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hermitage.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1999, Memphis, TN 38101.
