Josephine Armstrong

Josephine M. Armstrong, age 92, formerly of Mercer Road, Greenville, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023 in St. Paul’s Senior Living Community.

She was born in Sharon, PA on April 20, 1931 to Joseph and Ann (Romain) Sikora. She was a graduate of W. Middlesex High School. Josephine was a homemaker and had previously been employed as a switchboard operator at the former Westinghouse Electric Corp. She was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church Greenville and she enjoyed gardening, lawn work, loved the outdoors and helped her grandparents with their farm and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

Josephine is survived by her daughter Lori Donaldson and her husband Daniel of Greenville; three sons, Tim Armstrong and his wife Alice of Colorado Springs, CO, Gary Armstrong of Tampa, FL and Joel Armstrong and his wife Jennifer of Fort Myers, FL; a sister, Ann Nemkovich of Hubbard, OH; a brother Sylvestor Sikora of Orlando, FL; five grandchildren, Ian Donaldson and his wife Michelle, Isaac Donaldson, Jodi Donaldson, Justin Armstrong and his wife Elise and Erin Armstrong; four great-grandchildren, Beatrix and Emmitt Donaldson and Josephine and Juliet Armstrong, a daughter-in-law Stacy Armstrong and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her former husband Robert Armstrong. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Paul’s Villa and Gentiva Hospice for their loving care of Josephine.

Cremation was chosen and a celebration of life service will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, 85 N. High St., Greenville, PA 16125 or St. Paul’s Senior Living Community, 339 E. Jamestown Rd., Greenville, PA 16125. Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville.
