Josephine Fitch

Josephine F. Fitch, age 84, of Lackawanna, NY and formerly of Greenville, passed away on Saturday morning, November 18, 2023. She was born in Greenville on February 13, 1939 to Philip Sunseri, Sr. and Angelina (Daniello) Sunseri.

Josephine was a 1957 graduate of St. Michael High School and was employed as a nurse for forty years, retiring from Our Lady of Victory Home of Charity in Lackawanna, NY and previously working as an operating tech at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo. She was of the Catholic Faith and was a member of the Red Brick Ladies Club. On June 2, 1973 she married James Fitch, he preceded her in death.

Josephine is survived by two daughters; Lori Fitch of Garland, TX and Jennifer Fitch of Lackawanna, NY, a son; Daniel Fitch of Lackawanna, NY, a sister; Theresa Sunseri of Greenville and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister; Marie Giardina and a brother; Philip Sunseri, Jr.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30am on Thursday, November 30, 2023 in St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville, with Father Brandon Kleckner, Pastor of the church as celebrant. Inurnment will be in St. Michael Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael School Endowment Fund, 85 N. High St., Greenville.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville.
