Judith A. Turner, age 83, of Chambers Ave., Greenville, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025 in UPMC Horizon Greenville surrounded by her family.
Judith was born February 23, 1942 in Greenville to Charles and Irene (Jackson) Heisser. She graduated from Greenville High School and the New Castle Business College. Her first employment was in the Penn Power Accounting Office in Clark, PA.
In 1962, she married John Turner and they had three daughters, Michelle, Jennifer, and Susan.
In the proceeding years, she was employed at the Greenville Hospital, Jamestown Paint, and in the office of William Thomas, M.D. and John Steele, M.D.
In 2000, she started a small company, Greenville Health Products.
She loved beautiful music and a good book. She will be remembered as a quick wit with an infectious laugh. But her best legacy will be as the maker of the “best chocolate chip cookies ever”.
She is survived by her husband, John at home. Daughters Michelle (Gary) Mueller of Greenville and Susan (Jeff) Allara of Charlotte, NC. Her brother Bert Heisser and his wife Ann of Canton, Ohio. A very special niece, Karla Smith and her husband Kevin and their children Andrew and Haley.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Turner, M.D. The family would like to think that they are together and holding hands.
The family also would like to thank all the staff of UPMC Horizon Greenville who took great care of Judy in her final days, a special thanks to the respiratory therapy staff and nurses.
