Judy Keck Young, age 82, of Greenville, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024, in Greenville, PA. Judy was born in Greenville, PA on November 10, 1941, to parents Warren R. Keck, Jr. and Beulah (Burch) Keck.
She graduated from Greenville High School in 1959 and Allegheny College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Following graduation, she worked as an administrative assistant to Paul Mosher at Chicago Bridge and Iron Company in Greenville. Subsequently she worked as an executive assistant with Columbus Services of New Castle, and then later as a marketing manager with Airway Industries where she traveled extensively to Italy, Japan, Korea and China to network with Airway’s design and manufacturing partners. She was married on March 23, 1991 to Theodore F. Young, Jr. and lived for a period of time in Mercer, PA before moving to Greenville.
Judy and Ted enjoyed traveling extensively. They took many cruises throughout the Caribbean, Alaska, and the Panama Canal and visited Hawaii and Europe. She and Ted spent winters in Bradenton, Florida for 15 years and had many friends in both Pennsylvania and Florida. Judy was devoted to and spent much time with her family. She was an amazing wife, mother, sister, aunt and “Mimi” who made everyone feel special. She embodied the best of qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit and an extreme generosity that could be seen in her care for her husband and her entire family. Her kindness, thoughtfulness and dedication to her family will be forever cherished.
Her light shines on in the lives of those she touched and she will be missed terribly…..as she would say, “onward and upward” Judy is survived by her sons, Christopher (Tina) Brown and Matthew Brown (fiancée Charity Bird); stepsons, Theodore Young (fiancée Izabella Tkaczyk) and Timothy (Meegan) Young; brother, Warren (Nancy) Keck and grandchildren Madison Brown, Tyler (Nikki) Brown, Jacob Brown and Emma Brown; step-grandchildren, Shawn Young, Sarah Young and Julia Young. She was preceded in death by her husband Theodore F. Young, Jr. and parents.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Senior Living Community, 339 E. Jamestown Rd., Greenville, PA. 16125.
