Karen J. Hoffman, age 74, of Riley Rd., Sugar Grove Twp., Greenville passed away Wednesday afternoon, July 26, 2023 in UPMC Hamot.
She was born on Franklin, PA on November 7, 1948 a daughter of Ellwood Charles and Betty (Burke) Tarr. She was a 1966 graduate of Rocky Grove High School and was a homemaker. On March 17, 1967 Karen married Charles R. Hoffman, he survives. She was a member of Kennard Presbyterian Church. Karen enjoyed reading and taking bus trips with her family. She was a long-time member of Sunshine Homemakers Club in Kennard.
In addition to her husband of 56 years, she is survived by a daughter, Jodi S. Hibbard of Greenville; her mother, Betty Tarr of Cochranton; two sisters, Debra Grazier and her husband Jim of Cochranton, Bette Jo Manning of Franklin; a brother, Ellwood J. Tarr and his wife Judy of Cochranton; five grandchildren, Kayla Hibbard, Kerrin Hoffman, Kendall Hoffman, Karlie Hoffman, and Keith Charles “KC” Hoffman. She was preceded in death by her father and a son Keith R. Hoffman.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 2:00pm in Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville with Rev. Sally Bell, pastor of North Salem United Methodist Church, officiating.
