Keith J. "Duke" Snyder

Keith J. “Duke” Snyder, age 80, of N. Mercer St., Greenville, passed away Friday afternoon, September 13, 2024, in Avalon Springs Place, Mercer.

He was born on February 5, 1944 to Ralph E. and Ruth E. Snyder. Keith graduated from Greenville High School in 1962 and served in the U. S. Army, stationed in Korea. He was employed as a supervisor at Werner Ladder Co. for 38 years, retiring in 2004, and previously was employed at Salem Tube Corp. for more than eight years.

Keith was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville. A sports enthusiast, he enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates. He also was an animal lover and was known for meticulously taking care of his lawn.

Keith married the former Susan K. Stewart on June 22, 1985. She preceded him in death on September 21, 2018.

He is survived by two daughters: Kirsti (Donald) Neidig of Lock Haven and Yvette (Todd) Crawford of Greenville; a son, Troy (Laurie) Snyder of Meadville; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Keith is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert Snyder and Dean Snyder.

Keith’s family would like to extend their gratitude to his neighbor, Chad Sankey, for being a devoted friend for many years.

Services:

Cremation was chosen, and there will be no services.
