Kevin K. “Turtle” Gelvin, age 67, of St. Hwy 285, Conneaut Lake, passed away Wednesday morning, August 10, 2022 in Meadville Medical Center.

He was born in Geneva, PA on February 6, 1955 a son of Shirley Bates and Ralph and Nancy (Peterson) Gelvin. He was a 1973 graduate of Conneaut Lake High School and served his country in the United States Army. He was previously employed as a welder at Greenville Steel Car for 25 years. Turtle was a wrestling, baseball, and football coach at Conneaut Lake School District for 25 years.  Turtle touched many lives throughout the years.

He is survived by his his long-time companion, Jennifer Campbell of Conneaut Lake; five sons, Joshua Gelvin and his wife Lorissa of Greenville, Rodney Gelvin and his wife Melissa of Jamestown, Frank Campbell of Pittsburgh, Jason Campbell of Conneaut Lake, and Jarrod Campbell and his wife Danielle of Conneaut Lake; a daughter, Jennie Wolfe and her husband Ira of Cochranton; a sister, Kay Higby and her husband Robert Jr. of Meadville; ten grandchildren, Aarron, Kyle, NiKayla, Tatum, Mattesyn, Barrett, James, Ella, Rachel, and Ryan Wayne; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Rodney Keith Gelvin.
