Leo B. Brown, age 91, of Jamestown, passed away Sunday afternoon, August 13, 2023 in his residence with his daughters by his side. He was born Greenville on May 20, 1932 a son of John and Elva (Jaxtheimer) Brown.

He was a graduate of St. Michael's High School and served his country in the United States Marine Corp. during the Korean War. He was employed as an Electrician at Edison Company in Southern California for 33 years. Leo was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville, Jamestown Fireman’s Club and The Moose Lodge. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, restoring cars and following NASCAR and in his younger years, waterskiing and boating. Most of all, Leo was a devoted husband and father.

On August 28, 1954 he married the former Sally N. Kinney, she passed away October 17, 2019. He is survived by two daughters; Tamela Brown of Tucson, AZ and Trievah Brown of Jamestown; a sister; Nancy Reash of Toledo, OH, a brother; Jerry Brown of Greenville, several grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four children, Kelly Brown-Dodd, Catherine “Cathy” Brown, Terrance “Terry” Brown and Edward “Eddie” Brown, six sisters; Jean Ruth, Mary Brown, Cass Williams, Helen McDonald, Reta McCann and Martha Mayer, four brothers; James Brown, John Brown, Robert Brown and Joseph Brown, a grandson; Brad Sherwood and a great grandson; Alex McPherson.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
