Lillian P. McCarthy, age 79, of South Second St., Greenville, passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 19, 2021 in UPMC Jameson, due to COVID-19.

She was born in Beaver, PA on October 12, 1942 to Earl and Esther (Zinkan) Reed. Lillian was a 1962 graduate of Beaver High School. She was a Homemaker and enjoyed crocheting and playing bingo. Lillian was a member of First United Methodist Church, Greenville, where she was a member of the Methodist Women. She was one of the original volunteers and had served on the Board of Directors of the Good Shepherd Center.

Lillian is survived by her two daughters, Leona A. Whittington and her husband Steve of Vidor, TX and Marion Dickens of Greenville, a sister, Lovela Gault of Greenville and three grandchildren, Kevin Whittington, Eric Whittington and Lisa Walker. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, William E. “Billy” McCarthy and a brother, Melvin Reed.
