Lisa Marie (Glaser) Summerlin, Greenville, passed away on January 10, 2024 at Cleveland Clinic with her family by her side. She had courageously and gracefully battled many serious chronic health conditions for over a decade. She was 61 years old.
Lisa was born April 7, 1962, the first child of Edward A. Glaser and Dorothy M. (Glaser) Roach. She graduated from Sharpsville High School in 1980. She was a proud alumni of Penn State where she earned a degree in Health Planning & Administration in 1984. She moved to New York City where she lived and worked for the next 9 years. She was a hospital administrator at several hospitals in New York including Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. In 1995, she returned to Mercer County with her daughter, Linda (Roldan) DeSantis. She worked in a variety of positions in Mercer County over the years including as a wrap-around worker at MCAR, an assistant administrator at White Cliff Nursing Home, and as a legal secretary.
She met her husband, Raymond Summerlin in Greenville and they married in 1999. Their son, Logan Edward Summerlin was born on August 24, 2000. Lisa was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading, being with her children, crocheting, and fostering cats for Strayhaven Animal Shelter. She was a very strong person who never gave up even in the most challenging of situations.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Ray Summerlin of Greenville, Linda (Roldan) DeSantis of Colorado, Logan Summerlin of Washington D.C., and stepson, Eddie Summerlin, of Greenville. Her surviving sisters are Tamara Glaser (San Diego), and Kerry Tadic (Cleveland) and her niece and nephew, Maja Tadic and Niko Tadic.
Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Edward Glaser. She will be missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Strayhaven Inc., 94 Donation Rd., Greenville, PA 16125. Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville.
