Greenville, PA

Lloyd L. Ramsey, Jr., age 98, of Vosler Rd., W. Salem Twp., Greenville, passed away Tuesday morning, February 11, 2025, in St. Paul’s Senior Living Community.

He was born in Greenville on September 27, 1926 to Lloyd L. Ramsey, Sr. and Edna (Armgost) Ramsey. Lloyd was a 1944 graduate of Penn High School and served in the U. S. Navy during WWII. He retired from Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV where he was employed for 25 years as an electronics technician. 

Lloyd was a member of Hillside Presbyterian Church, Greenville and was a past member of the Transfer Kiwanis Club. He enjoyed woodworking and was a “jack of all trades.” 

On January 7, 1948, he married the former Alice G. Brown; she passed away on February 4, 1985. He then married the former Janet M. Gustafson on July 6, 1986; she passed away November 26, 2016.

Lloyd is survived by three daughters: Sally Hilles of Greenville, Terry Lee of Transfer, and Cindy Ramsey of Transfer; a son, Lloyd L. (Lori) Ramsey, III of Transfer; a sister, Margaret (Dale) Werger of Greenville; a brother Harry (Carol) Ramsey of Bradenton, FL; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to both of his wives, he was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters; and a brother.

Services:

No services are scheduled at this time. Burial will be in Shenango Valley Cemetery.
