Louise Hetrick, age 82, formerly of Jamestown passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon, March 6, 2024 in St. Paul's Senior Living Community with her family by her side. She was born in Petersburg, PA on August 10, 1941 a daughter of Paul and Hazel (Huston) Everetts.
She was a 1959 graduate of Huntingdon Area High School and a 1962 graduate of Harrisburg Polyclinic where she became a registered nurse. On August 25, 1962 Louise married her high school sweetheart Bud Hetrick, he survives. She was a member of Jamestown United Methodist Church where she was active with the Jamestown Methodist Women.
Louise was previously employed as the head nurse at Greenville Medical Center and was a relief night supervisor at Whitecliff Nursing Home. She enjoyed reading, taking pictures, swimming, bowling, spending time with family, attending her children and grandchildren's various sporting events, boat rides on the lake, traveling with her husband especially to Myrtle Beach every winter, and attending Penn State athletic events. She loved her dog, Pepper. She was active in scouts when her children were young. She was a big Elvis and Garth Brooks fan. Louise will be forever remembered for her kindness, compassion, generosity, positive attitude, and unwavering faith, which instilled in all of us.
In addition to the love of her life of 62 years ; she is survived by a son, Randy Hetrick and his wife Debbie of Mercer; a daughter, Karen Hesson and her husband John of Cresson, PA; a brother, Ken Everetts of Rochester, NY; three grandchildren, Missy Schultz and her husband Brett of Pickerington, OH, Dylan Hetrick and Jake Hetrick both of Mercer; a great grandson, Brock Schultz of Pickerington, OH; a nephew, Tom Everetts and his wife Jennifer of Honeoye, NY; two nieces, Kathy Merz and her husband George of Rochester, NY, Yvonne Chinnici and her husband Rich of Webster, NY.
She was preceded in death by her parents. The family would like to thank St. Paul's for all the wonderful care they gave Louise throughout the last 8 years, especially the staff of Garden's B, also a thank you to Gentiva Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jamestown United Methodist Church, 407 Depot St., Jamestown, PA 16134.
