Lucille Christopher, age 86, of Greenville, passed away Saturday morning, July 31, 2021 in St. Paul's Senior Living Community. She was born May 9, 1935 in Greenville, PA to Frank J. and Mary (Rowley) Christopher.

She was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church where she was Baptized, received her First Holy Communion, was Confirmed and served as a greeter and lector. Lucille was a 1953 graduate of the former Penn High School. She received her Bachelor's Degree in June 1957 from the former Villa Maria College now part of Gannon University, Erie.

Miss Christopher returned to Greenville where she was a teacher in the elementary schools for 36 years, retiring in 1993. Miss Christopher will always be remembered for her extraordinary cursive handwriting and the ability to teach this skill to her students. Upon retirement, she enjoyed tours in Italy and Egypt. Lucille was a 25 year volunteer in the Greenville Regional Hospital and served as a Treasurer of the Hospital Auxiliary from 1994-1996. She belonged to the former Orpheus and Thiel Women's Clubs. She held life memberships in the Greenville and Mercer County Historical Societies as well as the Greenville Business and Professional Women's Organization.

She is survived by her cousin-in-law, Carol Rowley of Rochester, NY and Carol's sons, Derek Stone Rowley of St. Louis, MO and Dr. Jason T. Rowley of Camarillo, CA. A very special thank you to St. Paul's and With Out Walls staff, especially Mary, Nikki , Nancy, Donna and Chana.

Memorial contributions may be made to either St. Michael School Endowment Fund or St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, both of 85 N. High St., Greenville, PA 16125. Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville.
