Mabel L. Mrvos, age 96, of Adamsville Rd., Hartstown passed away Thursday morning, December 21, 2023 in St. Paul’s Senior Living Community. She was born in Adamsville on December 20, 1927 a daughter of Wendell and Bessie (Berlin) Andrews.
She was a graduate of East Fallowfield High School. She was previously employed at Westinghouse in Meadville for 12 years, Garvin Industries in Adamsville for 20 years, and Daffins Candies in Greenville for 12 years. Mabel was an active member of Adamsville Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, bible study, helped with dinners, and was a part of missionary ladies. Church was always a vital part of her life. She enjoyed bowling and gardening.
Mabel put everyone before herself. She was an animal lover, a good listener, and most of all an amazing mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She endured a lot in the past several years but was always so determined and bounced back many times. She always said to never give up and to carry on.
She is survived by two daughters, Martha “Marty” Agnew and her husband Bill of Linesville, Beverly Burg of Venetia, PA; a son, Michael Mrvos of Hartstown; five grandchildren, Amanda Agnew, Andrew “Erika” Agnew, Alissa Agnew “Alex Welch”, Kevin “Savanna” Burg, and Jenna “Justin” Letts; three great grandchildren, William Agnew, Heidi Burg, and Peter Burg; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter Marsha Lou Mrvos, two sisters Peggy Greco and Mary Unger, a brother Robert Andrews, son-in-law Todd Burg, a great nephew Michael Byler.
Memorial contributions may be made to Adamsville Presbyterian Church, 3979 Main St., Adamsville, PA 16110. Arrangements have been entrusted to LOUTZENHISER-RANDALL FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 416 LIBERTY ST., JAMESTOWN.
