Margaret Smith

Margaret E. Smith, age 75, of Kinsman Rd., Jamestown passed away Tuesday morning, February 27, 2024 in her residence. She was born in New Castle, PA on January 18, 1949 a daughter of John A. Jr. and Lois E. (Minor) Johnson.

She was a 1967 graduate of Wilmington High School and attended New Castle School of Business. On April 12, 1991 Margaret married John S. Smith, he survives. She was employed as a case worker at the Hermitage Social Security Office for many years. She was a member of Jamestown Fireman's Club, Jamestown VFW Post # 5424, and Bronzwood Golf Course. Margaret enjoyed reading, golfing, and spending time with her grandchildren and going to their sporting events.

In addition to her husband of 32 years, she is survived two sons , Tim Richardson and his wife Lacey of Volant, PA, Glen Smith and his wife Ann of Orlando, FL; a daughter, Susie Shirey and her husband Greg of Greenville; a sister Doris Brown and her husband Tim of Tucson, AZ ; a brother, Keith Johnson of Grove City; four grandchildren, Jared Richardson, Sammie Blaschak and her husband Garrett, Makaela Rust, and Maddie Shirey; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 1:00pm in Jamestown Fireman's Club, 501 Denver St., Jamestown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jamestown Fireman's Club, 501 Denver St., Jamestown, PA 16134 or Jamestown VFW Post #5424, 205 Liberty St., Jamestown, PA 16134. Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Randall Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 416 Liberty St., Jamestown.
