Marian M. Waleff

Marian M. Waleff, age 96, of W. Salem Twp., Greenville passed away Tuesday morning, November 5, 2024, in St. Paul’s Senior Living Community.

She was born on July 25, 1928 in Kinsman, OH to Max J. and Elmira E. (Mowry) McGrath, Sr. Marian attended Hartford Schools and had been employed in the housekeeping department of Greenville Regional Hospital for 16 years.

She was a Member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church and enjoyed sewing, quilting, flower gardening, reading, traveling, trips to the casino, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

On April 16, 1946, Marian married Pete P. Waleff; he passed away on October 25, 2015.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia A. (Roy) Krepp of Greenville; a brother, Charles (Joyce) McGrath of Frisco, TX; three grandchildren: Steven (Marci) Waleff, Cinda (Donnie) Watkins, Stephanie (Bob) Rust; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Betty Grasso and Maryanne Waleff.

Marian is preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, John W. Waleff; a grandson, Douglas B. Krepp; four sisters: Audene Miller, Dorothy Undercak, June Hoffman, and Emily Bogacki; and four brothers: Wade McGrath, Herbert McGrath, Max McGrath, Jr., and Richard McGrath.

Services:

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, 11/8/24, in St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville, with Fr. Brandon Kleckner, Pastor of the Church, as Celebrant. Family and friends will be received from 4-6 PM on Thursday, 11/7/24, in Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 366-368 S. Main St. Greenville. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Michael’s School Endowment Fund, 85 N. High St., Greenville, PA 16125.
