Mary Jane Scott, age 89, passed away December 16, 2021 in her home after a brief illness. She was the eighth child born to Charles and Mary (Hutchison) Fry in West Salem Township, Greenville, PA on March 25, 1932.

Charlie and Mary Jane were married on July 17, 1950 at Maysville Community Church. During their 71 years of marriage they enjoyed traveling to each of the 50 states.

She was a member of Crossroad Christian Fellowship, Greenville. Mary Jane loved the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word. She was passionate about studying the Old Testament and teaching her dear friends at the Wednesday Ladies Bible Study.

In 1992 she retired from the Greenville Regional Hospital serving as switchboard operator. Mary Jane was richly blessed by the relationships she shared with the doctors, nurses and employees.

Mary Jane is survived by her husband, Charles D. Scott, two daughters, Denise (Ric) Kolcharno of Greenville, PA; Colleen (Kevin) Jackson of Norfolk, VA; one son David (Valerie) Scott of Winter Park, FL. Six grandchildren; Scott (Amanda) Kolcharno of Illinois, Dr. Cara Marie Jackson, Virginia , Lindsey (Dr. Matt) Scarpetti, Florida, Ryan (Ashley) Scott, Pennsylvania, Clark (Maranda) Jackson, Virginia and Owen Scott, Florida.

Seven beautiful great grandchildren. One brother Raymond Fry, one sister Nancy (Mike) Baker and many beloved nieces and nephews and special cousins Terri and Pat Landfried, Oklahoma. Proceeding her in death; parents Charles and Mary Fry, beloved mother-in-law Mary (Bell) Scott. Her infant daughter, Marjorie Anna Scott, and son Mark Samuel Scott (36). Four brothers Carl, Charles, Stanley and David Fry, six sisters Peggy McClead, Becky Murrin, Louise Ross, Barbara Reed, Linda Courtney and Wanda Reigleman.

Mary Jane has chosen to have her body donated as a cadaver at a medical school. A public memorial service will be held at Crossroads Christian Fellowship on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 11:00am. Family and friends will be received in the church 10:00am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, Mary Jane had requested donations be made to The Fresh Grounds Ministry at 172 Main Street, Greenville, PA, 16125.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville.
