Mary Kroen

Mary H. Kroen, age 87, of Greenville, passed away Monday morning, October 11, 2021 at St. Paul's Senior Living Community.

She was born in New Brighton, PA on July 13, 1934 to Gaylord and Edith (Pflugh) Hetzler. Mary was a 1952 graduate of Beaver Falls High School and received her B.S. in Mathematics from Geneva College in 1956 . She was employed in the Mathematics Department of Westinghouse from 1956-1959 and then was employed during the 1980's by Mine Safety Appliance Co., where she worked in sales.

Mary was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Greenville, where she was a member of the morning circle and served on the worship committee. She had been a member of Parkwood Presbyterian Church in Allison Park, PA before moving to Greenville. Mary was a volunteer at St. Paul's.

On February 28, 1958 she married A. Frederick Kroen who passed away on October 7, 2018. Mary is survived by her two sons, William K. Kroen (and wife Peggy) of Dover, DE and Charles F. Kroen (and wife Leanne) of Galveston, TX, and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

There will be no services planned at this time. Inurnment will be in Shenango Valley Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Senior Living Community, 339 E. Jamestown Rd., Greenville, PA 16125.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville.
