Mary Catherine Petrick, age 82, formerly of Port Charlotte, FL, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2023 in St. Paul’s Senior Living Community. She was born in Greenville on June 7, 1941 to Frank and Mary (Derrick) Petrick.

Mary Catherine was a 1959 graduate of St. Micheal High School and attended an airline school for customer service in Minnesota. She began her career in airline customer service with Eastern Airlines and retired after forty-two years of employment with Trans World Airlines, where she only recorded one sick day in her career. She won numerous awards for outstanding service and dedication throughout her career and was honored at the Waldorf Historia Grand Hotel for her service to the airline industry.

After retirement, Mary Catherine was employed as a cafeteria worker for Charlotte County Public Schools for six years. She was a longtime devoted Catholic and her other interests included, traveling the world and was a Pittsburgh sports fan, especially the Steelers. Mary Catherine was devoted to her family and those survivors include her five nieces and nephews; Deborah Erdesky Sokolak (Tom) of W. Middlesex, Jack Erdesky (Ronda) of Greenville, Mark Erdesky (Joanne) of Hermitage, Mary Susan Erdesky Oskin (Laird) of Baltimore, MD and Barbara Ann Erdesky Brooks (Edward) of Jamestown, NY, thirteen great nieces and nephews and twenty-two great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Margaret Erdesky and her husband John.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund of the Ridgewood Shenango Valley, 1 Elston Way Hermitage, PA 16148 or to St. Michael School Endowment Fund, 85 N. High St., Greenville, PA 16125.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville.
