Melda Boyer

Melda A. “Sis” Boyer, age 83, of N. Hermitage Rd., Pymatuning Twp., Transfer, PA, passed away Friday July 8, 2022 in UPMC Presbyterian.

She was born in Kittanning, PA on March 14, 1939.  She was a 1957 graduate of Kittanning High School and on June 14, 1957 she married Walter E. Boyer, he survives.  She had been employed as an L.P.N. At St. Paul's Senior Living Community for fifteen years.  She had previously been employed as a bus driver for Anderson Coach for eighteen years.  Sis and her husband enjoyed riding motorcycles and were members of the Goldwings Motorcycle Club.  She had been in a ladies duck pin bowling league at the Greenville Elks Club and she also enjoyed trips to the casino and collecting fur babies.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Susan Boyer and Cathy Boyer, both of Transfer, a son, Timothy Boyer and his wife Lisa of Greenville, four grandchildren, Corena Brenizer, Alexia Thomas, Shane Boyer and his wife Brianna, ten great-grandchildren, which includes Ellie Boyerand two great-great grandchildren, Ky'Aire and CJ.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Hawkins, and a sister, Joyce Hawkins.

All service are being held privately.  Memorial contributions may be made to Strayhaven Animal Shelter, 94 Donation Rd., Greenville, PA 16125.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville.
