Melody Yurchison

Melody Yurchison, age 67, of Jamestown passed away Wednesday afternoon, November 20, 2024, in Kadima Rehabilitation and Nursing at Greenville.

She was born May 9, 1957 in Pittsburgh to Edward and Mildred (Sklenar) Rudge. Melody graduated from General Braddock High School and had attended the Community College of Allegheny County South. She had been employed as a clinical secretary at West Penn Hospital from 1990-2005.

Melody was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall, Cortland, OH. She enjoyed crocheting and crafting and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

On September 21, 1978, she married Ronald C. Yurchison; he passed away on January 4, 2008.

Melody is survived by a daughter, Heather (Michael) Bell of Linesville; a son, Josh (Amanda) Yurchison of Jamestown; a sister, Karen Sessa of Linesville; a brother, Edward Rudge, Jr. of Linesville; and three grandchildren: Alex Nowikowski, Madison Yurchison, and Summer Yurchison.

In addition to her husband, Melody is preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation was chosen, and there will be no services.
