Mildred “Midge” I. Resinger, age 89, of Greenville, passed away Sunday afternoon, June 13, 2021 in her residence.

She was born in Greenville on July 8, 1931 a daughter of Samuel I. And Opal E. (Reimold) Nelson. She was a 1949 graduate of Penn High High School and On August 4, 1951 Midge married Charles R. Resinger, he passed away March 29, 1999. She was employed as a seamstress for 9 years at Wasser's Men's wear in Greenville and worked in the meat department for 13 years at Lysek's Value King.

Midge was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church where she was a volunteer in the rectory and would also cook for the priest's. She was a member of Greenville Family Moose Lodge # 276. She enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, cooking, playing cards, and was a seamstress for many years.

She is survived by three daughter's, Cheryl Ferguson and her husband David, Diane Scelsi and her husband Jim, Mary Blair and her husband Steve all of Greenville; a son, Charles R. Resinger and his wife Dawn of Hubbard, OH; two sisters, Dorothy Marstellar of Sharpsville and Kathleen Peake of Linesville; two brothers, Glenn Nelson of Greenville, and Raymond Nelson of Ft. Myers, FL; 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Karen Bennett, four sisters Helen Nelson, Ethel Marstellar, Mary Ann Lorent, and Martha Grant, three brothers, James Nelson, Robert Nelson, and Kenneth Nelson.

Memorial contributions may be made to Family Hospice and Palliative Care, 3124 Wilmington Rd., New Castle, PA 16105.
