Mona Stoyer

Mona Grace Stoyer, age 83, of Harrison St., Greenville, passed away Sunday evening, March 5, 2023 in St. Paul’s Senior Living Community.

She was born in Fredonia, PA on November 3, 1939 a daughter of Harry and Irene (Sargent) Bower. Mona was a member of the 1958 last graduating class of the former Penn High School. On May 28, 1958 she married Ronald “Ron” Stoyer. Mona worked as a cashier for the A&P Golden Dawn and then for Carl’s Golden Dawn. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Greenville, where she was faithful helping in the kitchen at funeral dinners and other functions. Mona was a very kind, caring, loving, wonderful person as well as a loving wife and mother and truly cared for her family. She also enjoyed music and sweets even more.

Mona is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, as well as two daughters; Tracey Sweet and her husband Blair of Sharon and Kelley Miller of Greenville, a grandson; Cody T. Bungar and his wife Nichole, three great-grandchildren; Kaiden Calvin, and Maddie and Hazel Bungar, two nieces; Ronda Hodge and Sue Stoyer and three nephews; Randy Fell, Michael Fell and Jerry Stoyer. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother; Robert Bower and two sisters; Norma “Terri” Robertson and Patty Bower.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, March 9, 2023 in Calvary United Methodist Church, Greenville, with Pastor Sally Bell, officiating. The family invites all in attendance to join in the church social area for a luncheon following the service. Inurnment will be in Shenango Valley Cemetery.
