Pamela Lynn Cianci, age 58, of 185 Williamson Road, Greenville, PA, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, April 12, 2023, at UPMC Horizon Hospital with her family by her side due to complications from a brain aneurysm.
Pam was born in Greenville on September 21, 1964, to Keith and Zina (Porter) Hittle. She attended Greenville High School and graduated with the class of 1982. She went on to attend Clarion University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education in 1986. She started her teaching career at Zions Preschool. Pam spent the majority of her teaching career at St. Michael School in Greenville teaching preschool, followed by a period of time at St. John Paul II, also as a preschool teacher and program administrator. Throughout her teaching career, she also worked for Greenville Savings Bank at both there Greenville and Hermitage locations. For the last 2 years, she worked at Greenville Area High School as a Library Aide. In addition, she worked the summer programs of Success by Six and the United Way after school program.
Pam was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville. Throughout her children’s upbringing, she volunteered her time on the St. Michael Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), in the cafeteria, and at her boys’ sporting events.
For anyone that knew Pam, you know that her four boys were her life. She had a heart like no other and believed there was good in everyone. She enjoyed spending time with her family, her dog, Blaise, and vacationing to her favorite place, Sunset Beach, NC. While she loved visiting her boys all over the East Coast, more than anything, she loved having her family home under one roof in Greenville, PA.
On November 5, 1988, she married Eugene (Gene) Cianci. She is survived by her husband Gene of Greenville, PA, her four boys, Gavin Cianci (Katie) of Charlotte, NC, Nolan Cianci (Brittney) of Pittsburgh, PA, Owen Cianci, currently enrolled at Youngstown State University, and Evan Cianci, currently enrolled at the University of Dayton. In addition, Pam is also survived by her mother Zina Long, her father, Keith Hittle, and his wife, Sandra Hittle, all of Greenville, and her brother Greg Long (Michelle) of Denver, NC. Pam is preceded in death by a younger brother, Richard Scott Hittle.
