Patricia Brugler

Patricia Z. Brugler, age 92, of 339 E. Jamestown Rd., W. Salem Twp., Greenville, passed away Tuesday morning, November 2, 2021 in St. Paul's Senior Living Community.

She was born to Daniel W. and Anna Katerine (Hess) Zeigler in 1929, at Lewistown, PA. She and Ray B. Brugler were married in 1950, at the First Methodist Church, Lewistown, PA and celebrated over seventy years of marriage until his passing on December 5, 2020. Following graduation from Lewistown High School with academic honors in the Class of 1947, she obtained an Associate Degree in business administration.

After many years as a stay-at-home mother and pastor's wife, she re-entered the workforce serving as bank teller, and as administrative assistant in two school administration offices, retiring in 1994. She was an ordained Ruling elder in the Presbyterian Church, serving actively on Sessions in two churches. Her volunteer activities included service with hospital guilds, volunteer coordinator for volunteer service teams at Westminster College, serving on Presbytery committees and in Synod-wide events including Synod School teaching teams, and at St. Paul's. She received a Life Membership in the Board of National Missions (PCUSA) in 1968; and was honored as Woman of the Year at Hillside Church in 2013. Mrs. Brugler enjoyed volunteer service on mission work trips in Appalachia and Alaska, participation in travel and learning seminars throughout the U.S. and Canada and in The Holy Land; and camping with her family.

She is survived by her son, Ray B. Brugler, Jr. of Millerstown, PA, a daughter Ruth Ann Fox of Chesapeake, VA, a brother James, two grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, John, William and Robert.

Graveside Services will be held in Mt. Rock Cemetery, Lewistown PA at a time and date to be determined. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Senior Living Community, 339 E. Jamestown Rd., Greenville, PA 16125 or to Hillside Presbyterian Church, 2 N. High St., Greenville, PA 16125. Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville.
