Patricia J. Shuster

Patricia J. "Patty" Shuster, age 84, of Baker Rd. Greenville passed away Wednesday afternoon, July 17, 2024 in Allegheny General Hospital. 

She was born on July 25, 1939 in Grove City to Clarence L. and Clara (Owens) Orr.  Patty graduated from Victory High School in 1957 and enjoyed a long career working in retail, most recently at Walt's Golden Dawn in Mercer. She enjoyed dancing, bowling and cuddling with her dog "Sadie."

Patty is survived by a son, Thomas L. (Terri) McMurdy of Chambersburg, a sister, Roxanne Barclay of Clintonville seven grandchildren: Michelle (Matthew) Smith, Nick (Rhea) McMurdy, Katie (Vince) Rudolph, Mike (Beth) McMurdy, Amanda (Michael) Gossard, Jake Grossman, and Abby (Joshua) Midkiff, 10 great-grandchildren: Mekaya, Jay, Ryan, Baylee, Major, Katelyn, Kiedis, Calliope, Milo, and Oakley, a special companion Will P. Barnhardt of Greenville, a sister-in-law, Barbara Orr of Harrisville, and a son-in-law, John Grossman of Slippery Rock.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her previous husband George T. McMurdy (the father of her children), two husbands, Richard W. Shuster and Samuel W. Guntrum, a daughter, Kimberly Sue McMurdy, a sister, Elsie Taylor, and a brother, Floyd "Pete" Orr.

Services: 

Family and Friends will be received from 4:00 PM to 6:00PM on Tuesday, 7/23/24, in Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 366-368 S. Main St. Greenville.  A private family funeral service will follow the visitation. Burial will be in Mt.
