It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Patsy Lou (Jost) Hoffman, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, on December 16, 2023 at the age of 93. She departed this world in the comfort of her sleep, surrounded by the warmth of memories and the love of her family.

Born on February 17, 1930 to Harold and Lela Jost, Patsy lived a life rich in love, kindness, and resilience. As a dedicated mother of one, she poured her heart into nurturing and guiding her family as a loving wife to Walter E. Hoffman for over fifty years until his passing in 2004. Patsy is survived by her son, Walter G. Hoffman, daughter-in-law, Patricia Hoffman, and two grandchildren, Rachael and Glenn Hoffman.

Throughout her 93 years, Patsy found joy in simple pleasures and shared her love generously, leaving a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to be a part of her life. She enjoyed baking, tending her flower gardens, watching the Ohio State Buckeyes, and spoiling her grandchildren. Patsy also had a soft spot for animals - particularly dogs - and cared for many over the years. In addition, she volunteered her time in several local organizations, such as AARP, Greenville Ice Skating Rink, Maysville Community Church, Pioneer Girls, and the Thiel Productive Retirement Center.
