Paul M. Zarecky, age 73, of Coal Hill Rd., W. Salem Twp., Greenville, passed away Tuesday afternoon March 12, 2024 in UPMC Hamot. He was born in Greenville on February 26, 1951 to Rudolph and Ann (Nadasky) Zarecky.
Paul was a 1969 graduate of Greenville High School and served in the U.S. Army. He was employed as a Patrolman for Greenville/W. Salem Twp. Police Department for twenty-seven years. He then worked his summers for ten years with D.C.N.R. at Pymatuning Lake. Paul was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville and Greenville Family Moose #276. He enjoyed camping, gardening and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan.
Paul is survived by his son, Paul J. Zarecky and his wife Lauren of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Caitlin Zarecky and her fiancé Lucas Ransom of Pittsburgh; a brother, Phillip Zarecky and his companion Jan of Greenville; a sister; Mary Ann Walker and her husband Dewey of Greenville and Paul’s companion, Patty Jones of Greenville. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sister Roseann Zarecky.
