Richard L. Gregory, age 88, of Mercer, PA and formerly of Donation Rd., Otter Creek Twp., Greenville passed away Tuesday morning, March 4, 2025.

He was born in Franklin on November 22, 1936. Dick graduated from Victory High School in 1954 and served in the United States Army. He retired from Trinity Industries following 36 years of employment as a welder.

Dick was a member of Oak Grove Church, Mercer. He enjoyed drawing, painting, and music, especially rockabilly, polka, and bluegrass. Dick always kept a pen and small notepad in his shirt pocket to write down all his thoughts and ideas. He loved making people laugh in the way that he told stories, mowing grass on the zero-turn, fast classic cars, and motorcycles. Dick was known for his expressive eyebrows that always told the rest of the story.

On May 28, 1961, Dick married the former Madalyn (Mandy) C. Greggs; she passed away March 15, 2019.

He is survived by two sons, R. Scott (Susan) Gregory of Salem, OH and Christian L. Gregory (Lisa Greco) of Mercer; a sister, Maxine Fuller of Franklin; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Lucille (Hovis) Deeter.

Services:

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, 3/6/25, in Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St. Greenville, with Rev. Randy Ritchey, Pastor of Oak Grove Church, officiating. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home on Thursday, 3/6/25, from 9:30 AM until time of service. Burial will be in Rocky Glen Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Greenville Public Library, 330 Main St. Greenville, PA 16125.
