Robert Britton

Robert Newton Britton, 88, of Sugar Grove Township, PA, died suddenly on July 9, 2022, at home.

Son of Lawrence N. Britton and Edna (Kitch) Britton, he was born April 7, 1934, in Greenville, PA. After graduating from Penn High School, Greenville, Bob served in the U. S Air Force. After his discharge he resided near San Diego, California, where was he was employed in the specialty packaging industry.

He married Carolyn Ruth Hutton, a native of Cleveland, OH, who died in 1987 in San Diego. Before the death of his parents Bob returned to Mercer County to help with their care. Surviving are sisters Jeanne (Britton) Workman, Pittsburgh, PA, and Mary Lou Britton of St. Clair Shores, MI, and nephew James A. Workman of Pittsburgh. A brother David L. Britton died in 1966.

As per Bob's wishes, cremation was chosen and there will be no services. Private inurnment will be in Delaware Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville.
