Robert Hartzell

Robert Lee Hartzell of Jamestown, PA, passed away on October 22, 2023, at the age of 73. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Robert, also known as “Bob,” was a hard-working coal miner all of his life until retirement. He enjoyed playing horseshoes, and hunting and fishing…fishing being his favorite thing to do. He loved living by the lake and spending time with his dog, Max.

Surviving are his spouse, Patricia Sabo, daughters Jennifer Elkins and Mandy Wallace, stepdaughter Jolene Ward, sister Mary Schrecengost, and brother-in-law Johnny Goldstrohm. He also has seven grandchildren: Cassidy and Brody Elkins, Connor and Lauren Wallace, and Jacob, Kayla, and Nathan Ward, along with five nieces and nephews and their children. He is preceded in death by his parents, Betty Nichols and George Hartzell, as well as sisters Elizabath Dunlap and Beverly Goldstrohm. Robert will always be remembered for his stubbornness and sense of humor, but also for his kindness and heart of gold. He will be greatly missed.

Cremation was chosen and there will be no services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Randall Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 416 Liberty St., Jamestown.
