Robert Kuykendall

Robert H. “Bob” Kuykendall, age 76, of Orangeville Rd., W. Salem Twp., Greenville, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024. He was born on September 26, 1947 to Henry and Gladys Kuykendell in Towanda, PA.

He graduated from Sayre High School in 1965 and proudly served in the Marine Corp. from 1966 to 1971 where he was stationed in Vietnam for 18 months. After traveling across the United States, he settled down in Western PA.

Bob married Edie Riley on October 16, 1982 she survives. Also surviving are two step-daughters, Tammie Woody and her husband, Mike and two grandchildren, Christopher and Breanna Woody all of Geneva, NY and Rebecca Wagner and her fiancé Jeremy Glover of Sharon, his brother, Allen Kuykendall of Franklinville, NY; three brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dennis and Mary Riley of Simpsonville, SC, Lew and Sandy Riley of Transfer and Mike and Bev Riley of Jamestown and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, father and a sister, JoAnne Sears.

In the early 1980’s, Bob worked for Goldstein Furniture as a warehouse coordinator, at Bristol Consolidators as a dock worker but his greatest pleasure was working for the USPS as a letter carrier for 20 plus years in Greenville. He so enjoyed talking and helping all his customers on his route. One of Bob’s enjoyments was finding that “JUST RIGHT” thing at a flea market. He collected bottles and buttons but was always interested in oddities. He also enjoyed going to bingo at the VFW in Greenville and talking to all of the wonderful people there.

Per Bob’s request, there will be no services and a private remembrance will be held at a later date.  All arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville.
