Robert P. Dorfeld

Robert P. Dorfeld, age 76, of Quarry Hill Rd. Hempfield Twp., Greenville, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Tuesday February 28, 2023. Bob was born in Greenville on September 26, 1946 to Robert P. and Arlene (King) Dorfeld.

He was a 1965 graduate of Greenville High School, served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during the Vietnam War and earned his B.A. in Accounting from Thiel College in 1974. Bob had previously been employed as a Controller at Hodge Foundry and was also the owner/operator of Dorfeld Accounting Services. He was a member of Church of Christ Church in Greenville. On October 12, 1968 he married the former Margie G. Bee, she survives. Also surviving is his daughter; Natalie M. Dorfeld of Palm Bay, FL and his son; Paul D. Dorfeld of Chicago. He was preceded in death by his parents.

As per Bob’s wishes, cremation was chosen and there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to Church of Christ and mailed in care of Don Bee, 5 Williamson Rd., Greenville, PA 16125 or to the Greenville American Legion, 278 Main St., Greenville, PA 16125. Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville.
