Robert C. Weygandt, age 87, of Carlisle Rd., Transfer passed away Tuesday evening April 11, 2023 in UPMC Jameson.

He was born in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania on November 3, 1935 to Clinton and Matilda Weygandt. Bob graduated from Jamestown High School in 1955 where he was a member of the FFA. On January 25, 1957, Bob married the former Constance “Connie” Beckstine. He was employed for 42 years at Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad, retiring in 1996. He was a lifelong farmer, assisted by his good friend Donald “Dino” Rainey. Bob was a proud member of Crossroads Christian Fellowship Church, where he was an usher and served on the building committee.

He was also a member of Stoney Point Grange, the Jamestown Fair, and was an advisor for Bessemer Credit Union. Bob truly enjoyed hunting with his siblings, children, and grandchildren. In addition to his wife of 66 years, he is survived by three daughters, Roxanne Karol and her husband Mark of New Jersey, Victoria “Vicki” Weygandt and her husband David Walls of Greenville, Valerie Thrasher and her husband Roger of Virginia; as well as two sisters, Dolores McCall and Dorothy Marburger and two brothers, James Weygandt and Richard Weygandt and his wife Janet, all of Hartstown. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Robert “Robbie” Karol, Kevin Karol, Rebecca Karol, Danielle Walls and her husband Jonathan Novick, Alexandra “Lexi” Walls, Rory Thrasher, Carl Thrasher and his wife Eleanor Comyns-Thrasher, and Virginia “Ginny” Thrasher; and one great granddaughter, Sierra Novick.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Robert E. Weygandt, two brothers in-law Dan Marburger and John McCall, and his sister-in-law Esther Weygandt.
