Ronald Lynn Mullenax, age 73, of Espyville, PA, formerly of Hartstown, PA, passed away at the Meadville Medical Center on May 3, 2021, due to complications of Covid-19, pneumonia, and metastatic lung cancer.
He fought a three year battle with cancer and tried his best to stay here with us as long as he could. Ron was born on August 7, 1947, in Warren, Ohio, to Kerth and Jane (Little) Mullenax of Orwell, Ohio, and he graduated from Grand Valley High School in Orwell, Ohio, in 1965.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, (Mary) Catherine Mullenax who were married September 27, 1969, and their three children Lisa of Cambridge Springs, PA, Glen of FL, and Natalie of Meadville, PA, five brothers, Raymond Mullenax (Mary Alice) of Orwell, Ohio, Kenneth Mullenax (Dorothy) of Orwell, Ohio, Richard Mullenax (Marla) of Bloomingdale, Ohio, Jerry Mullenax of Fairport Harbor, Ohio, and Larry Mullenax (Leslie) of De Soto, Iowa; three grandchildren, Rio and Milan Mullenax and Izzabella Lutton; and many nieces and nephews throughout Ohio. Ron had worked out of the Cleveland, Ohio, Carpenters Union Local #1108. He worked out of the Cleveland, Ohio, Boilermakers Union Local #744 for many years and retired when he turned 55 so he and Cathy could enjoy life and travel. He was known for his love of spending time with his family and friends. He loved fishing, boating, hunting, woodworking, NASCAR, traveling, adventuring to many casinos, gardening, and farming. Ronnie and Cathy were married 52 years and had downsized from their beloved farm three years ago to their current home in Espyville, PA. He was a very hardworking man who just never quit but he had had more than possible to withstand and left us all heartbroken. He is truly missed by all who were fortunate to know him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first born grandson Lucas Alejandro Mullenax-Mendez.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Randall Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 416 Liberty St., Jamestown, PA.
