Ronald L. Stoyer, age 89, of Stonegate Blvd., Hermitage passed away Thursday afternoon, October 27, 2022 in UPMC Mercy.

He was born in Greenville on January 31, 1933 a son of Paul and Martha (Vener) Stoyer. He attended Penn High School and Penn State University. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in Germany. On October 29, 1955 Ron married the former Barbara McKinney, she survives. He was previously employed for 36 years as assistant manager production engineering from Trinity Industries and the former Greenville Steel Car.

He was a member of Hillside Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder. He was a life member of the James O Jordan Post of the VFW. Ron enjoyed spending time with his family and their annual vacations to Myrtle Beach, he especially liked going on cruises and vacationing in Hawaii. In addition to his wife of 66 years, he is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Martin of Hermitage, Jeanette Yorns and her husband Brian of Enon Valley, PA; a sister, Elaine Stoyer Williams and her husband Bob; four grandsons, Jeremy Martin and his wife Natalie, Brendan Martin, Kevan Yorns, and Peyton Yorns. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son-in-law David Martin.
