Ruth Louise Woodworth, age 90, of Greenville., passed away Tuesday morning, October 25, 2022 in St. Paul’s Senior Living Community.

She was born in Leetsdale, PA on April 28, 1932 to Charles Parker Glover and Dorothy Elizabeth (Garvin) Glover. On May 19, 1956 she married Ralph Woodworth, Jr., he passed away on December 6, 2002. Ruth was a 1950 graduate of Mars High School and received her certification as an X-Ray Technician from the University of Pennsylvania. She began her career at the former Greenville Hospital until her children were born.

After her children began school, she worked in the cafeteria of the Greenville Area Schools until her retirement. In addition, she and her late husband were the owner/operators of Hempfield Ice Skating Club. Ruth was a member of Zion’s Reformed United Church of Christ, Greenville, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and was Past President and Treasurer of the Women’s Guild. She was an avid card player, participating in several area card groups. Ruth also enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, gardening and square dancing with her husband throughout Western PA.

She is survived by her two daughters, Deborah L. Woodworth of Greenville and Dorothy M. Woodworth of Natural Bridge, NY. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
