Shirley E. Hobson, age 74, of Village Path, Hermitage passed away January 5, 2024 in St. Paul’s Senior Living Community. She was born in Greenville on January 30, 1949 a daughter of Arthur Pifer and Helen Strausser Huff.

She was a 1967 graduate of Penn High School and on June 25, 1994 Shirley married Brian Hobson, he survives. She was a member of Greenville Salvation Army. Shirley was very musically talented and enjoyed bingo, crocheting, video games, playing card, and truly enjoyed spending time with family. She was a huge Elvis Presley fan.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Michele Watt of Sharon; three sons, George Peabody and his wife Tracey of Greenville, Randall Peabody and his wife Trudy of Greenville; Christopher Hobson and his companion Bonnie of New Hampshire; two sisters; Artie Jean Dyjak and her husband James of Greenville, Susan Dorsey of Ohio; a brother, Donny Huff of Ohio; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Darwin Peabody, JR., six sisters, and two great grandchildren.
