Susan E. McCann-Dunlap

Susan E. McCann-Dunlap, age 72, of Greenville, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday evening, February 19, 2025, in UPMC Passavant McCandless.

She was born in Greenville on July 3, 1952 to John P. McCann, Sr. and Rita A. (Brown) McCann. Sue graduated as valedictorian from Reynolds High School in 1970 and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh as a physical therapist in 1974. She was employed as a licensed physical therapist in the local area for more than 35 years, providing care at The Crippled Children’s Home, Penn-Ohio Rehabilitation, and for UPMC at St. Paul’s Home.

Sue was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville. She enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, visiting amusement parks, and riding roller coasters. Sue always was involved with setting up high school and family reunions, spending time with her family - especially her grandchildren, and will be remembered for acting as a mother figure to many.

She is survived by a daughter, Pamela M. Dunlap of Greenville; two sons, Todd P. (Cari) Dunlap of Hadley, and Benjamin C. (Amie) Dunlap of Greenville; three sisters: Janet Seeman of Davenport, FL; Donna (Fred) Foust of Leechburg, PA, and Mary Ann (Bruce) Clark of Andover, OH; a brother, John P. (Terry) McCann, Jr. of Greenville; three grandchildren: Isla Shepard, Harper Dunlap, and Bri Dunlap; and a bonus son, Mike (Cecilia) Dunlap of Colorado Springs, CO and his five children: Zack, David, Daniel, Samuel, and Sarah.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William McCann.

Family and Friends will be received on Tuesday, 3/11/25, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM in Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St. Greenville. Inurnment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
