Vernell Sampson

Vernell Sampson, age 84, of Hermitage, passed away Tuesday morning, November 16, 2021 in Sharon Regional Health System. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 7, 1937 a daughter of Wesley and Mary Jones. She was employed as a Nurses Aid at Eugenia Hospital in White Marsh, PA. She was a member of Rome Emmanuel Baptist Church in Philadelphia. Vernell enjoyed knitting and talking.

She is survived by a daughter, Jacqueline Wilkerson and her husband Dennis of Transfer; a brother, Scott Jones of Philadelphia; three grandchildren, Jessica Padilla, Ian Wilkerson, and Michael Reed and a host of great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Theresa Jones, a son Buster Jones, and six siblings.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 1:00pm in Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville with Rev. Gabe Padilla, Pastor of Calvary Bible Fellowship, officiating. Burial will be in Shenango Valley Cemetery.
