Vincent Tofani, age 88, of Tofani Ln., Pymatuning Twp., Transfer, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024, in his residence surrounded by his family. He was born in Greenville on May 12, 1935 to Giacomo and Mary (Zappavigna) Tofani.

Vince was a 1953 graduate of St. Michael High School, where he was a standout football player. He was employed for 26 years as a Millwright at the former Sharon Steel Corp. and he retired from the Mechanical Maintenance Department of Trinity Industries. Vince was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville, and he enjoyed woodworking, supporting and attending his children’s activities and hunting and fishing in his younger years.

On July 30, 1955, he married the former Kaye Penniman, she survives at home. Also surviving are three daughters, Tia Lucianni and her husband Frank of Greenville, Toni Shander and her husband Chris of Sharon and Niki Giardina and her fiancé Mark Scelsi of Greenville; four sons, Vincent Tofani and his wife Wendy of Keller, TX, Dino Tofani and his wife Lori of Transfer, Gino Tofani and his wife Mary Ann of Transfer and John Tofani of Transfer; 23 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, a brother and an infant brother.
