A Private Family Memorial Service will be held in Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville, with Rev. Claire Megles, Chaplain of Gentiva Hospice, officiating.

Reynolds VFW Post #7599 will render military honors at the conclusion of the service.

Inurnment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Webster G. Jones, age 97, of Linn Tyro Rd., Otter Creek Twp., Greenville, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023 in Greystone Country Estates, Fredonia.

He was born in Lloyddale, PA on October 11, 1925 to Webster O. and Rilla (Conrad) Jones. Webster was a graduate of Whitmore (PA) High School and served as a Corp. in the U.S. Airforce during WWII. He worked in the sales department of both Murdoch Ford and Baglier Buick and Cadillac in Sharon, PA and retired in 2001 from the sales department of Freedom Ford in Clearwater, FL.

Webster was a member of the former Greencrest Baptist Church in Transfer. He was a life member of Reynolds VFW Post #7599 and Disabled American Veterans and was a member of American Legion Post #0007 in Clearwater, FL. Webster enjoyed bowling, golf, bingo, boating, polka dancing and spending time with his friends. On November 11, 1946 he married the former Jean H. Peterson, she passed away on September 2, 2013.

He is survived by his three daughters; Sandra Oakes, Susan Campbell and her husband Ron and Sindy Bell and her husband Bo, all of Greenville, a brother; Ken Jones of Transfer, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a son Scott Jones, a sister; Audrey Giatroudakis and a grandson; Todd Beckstine.
