Wilbur A. Paxton, age 86, of Davidson Rd., Jamestown passed away Saturday morning, March 9, 2024 in St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. He was born in Aliquippa, PA on October 4, 1937 a son of Lawrence and Marie (Garzynski) Paxton.
On February 28, 1959 Bill married the former Barbara Junax, she passed away July 31, 2019. He was previously employed as a truck driver for Montgomery Block and Ready Mix in Harrisville, PA for 3 years and a truck driver for Wayne W. Sell Trucking in Sarver, PA for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church. Bill enjoyed going to car shows and driving his 1976 El Camino.
He is survived by a daughter Theresa Paxton and her fiance Steve Rhodes of Conneautville; a son, William Paxton and his companion Sue Black of Sandy Lake; two brothers, Regis Paxton and his wife Elaine of Center Twp., PA, Joseph Paxton of North Carolina; four granddaughters, Yvonne O'Day and her fiance Frank Rogers of Harmonsburg, Kayla Dehus and her husband Skip of Mercer, Sheri Bly of Sharon, and Leesa Long of Greenville; eight great grandchildren, Kaylee, Madelyn, Carter, Garrett, Landon, George, Ruby, and Ka'Mari. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister Charlotte Armstrong, two brothers Larry Paxton and Stanley Paxton.
A Celebration of Life for Bill and Barb will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Randall Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 416 Liberty St., Jamestown.
