Military honors will be rendered at the conclusion of the
service by Greenville VFW Post 3374 Honor Guard. Inurnment
will be in Shenango Valley Cemetery.

William Alexander, age 101, of Fredonia Rd., Hempfield Twp., passed away Sunday evening, April 9, 2023.

He was born in Greenville on March 6, 1922 to Cyrus S. and Florence (Harris) Alexander. Bill attended Penn High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1943-1946. He was employed for twenty-two years as a fitter at Westinghouse Electric Corp Reynolds Plant and he had also been a self-employed plaster worker for fifty years. Bill was a Christian and he enjoyed hunting and taking care of his home.

On September 1, 1950 he married the former Violet O. Carter, she passed away on July 11, 2020. He is survived by his sister; Elsie Mae Alford of Washington, DC and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters; Margaret Whiteside and Sophese Loggen and three brothers; Herman Alexander, Bernard Alexander and Norman Alexander.
