William C. Fuchs, age 74, of Leech Rd., Sugar Grove Twp., Greenville, passed away Wednesday evening, January 13, 2021. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 9, 1946 to Clem and Margaret (McMeekin) Fuchs. Bill was a 1964 graduate of Franklin Regional High School, where he excelled in Football and Baseball. He received his Associates Degree in Business from the University of Pittsburgh and then played AAA baseball for a year for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Bill was the owner/operator of Fuchs Quarter Horses for thirty-two years. During that time several of the horses received all American Quarter Horse Congress and were AQHA World Champions. He had also been employed as a salesman for a total of fifteen years at Leonard's Truck and Trailer and Coughlin's Truck and Trailer.

Bill was one of the founding members of the Western PA Quarter Horse Assoc. and had been active for thirty years, serving as President for twenty of those years. He was a judge for the American Quarter Horse Assoc. (AQHA) for forty-nine years, traveling to many shows across the country. Bill had been involved in coaching in the area for many years. He coached in the Greenville Little League and Senior League Divisions, Greenville Midget Football and was the Head Coach of Kennedy Christian High School Baseball Team from 1984-1994. Bill was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville.

His wife, the former Patricia J. Larimer, whom he married on February 10, 1968, passed away on August 25, 2020. He is survived by his daughter; Tricia A. Utlak and her husband Vince of Greenville, a son; William J. Fuchs of Greenville, two sisters; Beth Ealy and her husband Tom of Hilliards, PA and Mary Alyesworth and her husband Ralph of Grove City, three brothers; Wade Fuchs and his wife Cheryl of Ocala, FL, Walter Fuchs and his wife Margaret of Canfield, OH and Wayne Fuchs and his wife Melinda of Slippery Rock and three grandchildren; Makayla Utlak, Alana Utlak and Skylee Fuchs. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Western PA Quarter Horse Association, 89 Kinsman Rd., Greenville, PA 16125.
