William N. Kunkel, age 90, of S. Maysville Rd., Greenville, passed away Monday afternoon, June 7, 2021 in The Grove at Greenville.

He was born in McKeesport, PA on December 26, 1930 a son of William Horace and Helen Mae (Harbert) Kunkel. He was a 1949 graduate of Duquesne High School and in 1957 received a bachelor of science degree in education from Slippery Rock University. He was a Corporal in the United States Army during the Korean War.

On June 9, 1962 Bill married the former Charlene L. Carr, she survives. He was employed as a math teacher at Jamestown High School for 28 years where he was the basketball coach, he also was a Park Ranger at Pymatuning State Park for 19 years. He was a member of Temple Beth Israel in Sharon, PA. Bill was a member of the Jamestown Lion's Club for 56 years and the Harmoninca Aires for 25 years.

In addition to his wife of 58 years, he is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Ohle and her husband Doug of Greenville; two sons, W. Tedd Kunkel and his wife Karen of Greenville, Nicholas C. Kunkel and his wife Gina of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; six grandchildren, Manda Darling and her husband Jeff of Sharpsville, Adam McDowell and his wife Priscilla of Sharpsville, Molly Kapp and her husband Brady of Marble, PA, Teddy Kunkel of Greenville, Karina Kunkel of Jamestown, and Hannah Kunkel of Greenville and three great grandson, Dylan Quade, Maxx Darling, and Preston McDowell. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Judy Hobbs, and a brother Robert Kunkel.
